Quite a year in the world. Quite a year in my life.

Do you have a favorite moment from this past year?

My Fear of Flying

Those of you who know me well know that I do not enjoy flying. I do it in order to continue my journey through this planet but some of my biggest fears lie within a jumbo jet. A 747- 400 is the largest people mover I have ever seen. It is amazing how fast a vehicle so large can move and how something so heavy can actually take flight. There is something to be said about flying an Israeli airliner with Israeli crew and pilots. I felt a certain assurance and capability that I do not receive sometimes on a routine flight from LA to Phoenix aboard an American carrier. What I enjoyed most about the flight was the hummus with my meals, the people wandering the plane all flight like it was a mall or even a bar, the two Israeli movies I watched, the trip tracker that shows you where the plane is and of course watching the Israeli shore come into focus from my window seat.

I am lucky to be strong enough to overcome my fears in return for incredible journeys and amazing experiences. If you are afraid to take risks, afraid to be out of your element and afraid to be uncomfortable then you are unknowingly afraid to grow. Being a Hobbit is easy. Being a Dragon Slayer is hard. Which are you?

10 Days I Will Never Forget

I am back and I am safe. To try to explain or share what I have just gone through in just one post is impossible. I took 2000 pictures of fascinating places and met so many amazing people. I hope you keep checking as I begin to sort through the fond memories and share my journey with you. Do you know where this picture was taken? Have you been there? How did this place make you feel?

Off to Israel

Well, I am off to where it all began tomorrow. I am very excited. To go to a place where so many of the "greats" have passed through really has me amped. I am so ready to see things that are thousands of years old and to be in places that have such important meaning to the world's groups. This experience is sure to offer much inspiration. I know myself well and I know it will be so easy to like what I see and to say that I would live there. How could I not? Besides being American and a Devils fan I only identify with being Jewish. Its what I have always been and what I will always be. The USA is home to people from other places. Israel is the place where my people come from. If there is no other place for me to go on this planet I can always go to Israel. I am automatically a citizen in Israel if I want to be. I have always felt apart of the people Israel now I get to see the Land of Israel. This is sure to be a trip of growth and self-reflection. I cannot wait any longer. Have you been to Israel? What did you like the most? What did you like the least? I look forward to sharing pictures and stories with you when I get back.

Thursday

Would you want to do this?

I believe that getting off the planet and looking down on the Earth is the greatest accomplishment a human can achieve. Astronauts have to be almost perfect. Perfect sight, hearing, nerves, and body. They must be engineers and mathematicians as well. They must endure grueling tests and challenging training conditions. So those who do get off the planet are remarkable people in their own right and they do deserve the "opportunity" to achieve the most amazing feat.

Would you accept an offer to go to space? If not, why?

What do you think is the greatest accomplishment one can achieve?
